You'd think that since we provide them with a lovely variety of food that the birds would kindly oblige us with the odd photo opportunity.
Just occasionally,when it's nice and sunny would be best,like today !
But they don't !
I managed to sneak out quietly enough to catch a couple of the nuthatch...
Took his peanut piece,hid it in the tree,then flew off.
And didn't return,leaving me with very cold fingers.

great shot ruth, we don't get those over here either, or maybe it's just that we don't put out nuts to attract them!
we were on the same wavelength today as i got a bird too! :)
Looks like I have two cats over on my blog, one for each of your birds of today! LOL Great picture! I have replenished my feeder on Monday but I have yet to see a bird coming. They might have decided I wasn't regular enough and found new spots. :(
