Favourite #3

Here's my favourite from March last year.

I took at 7.30 in the morning just after the snow plow had pasted,we'd had a huge dumping of snow and were about to get another one.I liked how the light looks at that time of the morning and how the snow was blowing at the end of the street,so that you couldn't see to the end.

I turned around to face the other direction and got this......

Snow blowing like crazy across the road,I decided this was the time to get back in doors !! I do love the little touch of orange from the dead leaves in the bottom left hand side.

Favourite #2

Here's my favourite from February last year..........

It's my favourite because:

1, Just like January I hardly took any other pictures in February.
and
2. I just loved the bold shiny red against the paleness of everything else.

The Valentines tradition in my home is that my lovely husband places chocolate hearts all over the house before he leaves for work, for me to find. Some I don't find until later in the day as they're in obscure places ! I love that shell too,it's so smooth and worn by the sea.I picked it up off the beach when we went to see our friends for New year at LBI,NJ.I picked up a ton more but had to edit them !

Favourite #1 !

Well in order to try and keep this blog alive until April I thought I'd post a few of my favourite photo's from last year. They're just personal favourites for one reason or another, not masterpieces in photography by any way !

So I'll go month by month and last January just like this one I took barely any photo's. I did manage to capture this one....

Love the way she's so alert, she promtly took off after this shot,I miss seeing the deer in the garden.I haven't seen them at all this year although there is evidence that they've been around and on Christmas day we briefly saw them running across our neighbours yard. But,sadly no photo ops for me so far this year.

Snow

I just thought I'd post a couple of photo's taken after the last snow fall we had.

A view from the front of our house and below is out the back, the fence is nearly buried ! Excuse the over exposed sky.It doesn't seems like we've had a lot of snowstorms, the kids haven't missed any school but there's a lot out there.......I was sinking up to my thighs in the back garden and there is a good 2 and a half feet on the roof of the house.

We spent Saturday morning clearing snow and i just had to try and capture the icicles on Stu's eyebrows !!
